Redefining Resolutions: Unleashing Nature’s Wisdom for Goal Setting
You know that feeling when you stumble upon a new approach and it just clicks? That’s how I feel about goal setting this year. And I couldn’t wait to share it with you.
I used to dive headfirst into New Year’s resolutions like clockwork. But here’s the thing: it didn’t quite work for me. I’d set all these goals, and by year-end, I still had a ton of goals left unfinished. It would leave me feeling frustrated and down on myself.
But last year threw me a curveball. Unexpected chaos hit, and my whole routine was off. So, I shifted my goal setting to spring, and oh boy, did it make a difference. There’s something about setting intentions when nature’s waking up that feels right. Energizing, even.
And let me tell you, those goals weren’t small potatoes. And yet, I smashed every single one of them in 90 days! A year’s worth of goals—boom!
It got me wondering…why do we push ourselves so hard in the dead of winter?
Nature is onto something with its rhythm of rest and growth.
Think about it—winter’s the perfect time to recharge. Yet, we hustle harder than ever during that time. What if we leaned into the restful vibe of the season instead of feeling pressured to change everything on January 1st?
I stumbled upon this accidental revelation last year, and I’m never going back. There’s something magical about embracing the natural ebb and flow of life.
Check out this video where I go deep into this goal-setting revelation:
Taking time to rest doesn’t mean you’re slacking off—it means you’re aligning with your own rhythm. And when you decide to tackle those goals, you’ll do it from a place of wholeness, not from a place of feeling lacking.
This winter, I’m all about embracing the calm, enjoying the downtime, reading books, and simply being.
And, whether you’re a January 1st goal setter, a birthday goal person, or you just go with the flow, remember—it’s okay to hit pause. You don’t have to hustle 24/7.
Sending you vibes of restoration and renewal this winter. Here’s to feeling replenished and ready for the adventures ahead!
