Letting Go: A Full Moon Reflection for Your Home, Mind, and Time

We’re creeping towards the end of the year—that strange season when everyone’s technically still working, but half of us are mentally in holiday mode. 🎁

You can feel it, right? Things are starting to slow down. Focus drifts. And the collective energy shifts from “let’s crush our goals” to “let’s just make it to January.”

And right on cue, tomorrow night brings the full moon. 🌕

Even if you’ve never thought twice about lunar cycles, the full moon carries a simple message that I think we all need this time of year: it’s time to release.

Nature reminds us that everything moves in cycles—the moon, the tides, our energy, and even our creativity.

There’s a time to gather. To build, create, plan, and collect.

And there’s a time to release. To clear, edit, and simplify.

Right now, we’re in the releasing chapter. And instead of letting the world convince you to ramp up, shop more, and say yes to everything, what if you gave yourself permission to exhale instead?

When I help people with their clutter or productivity systems, I see the same thing over and over again.  About 80% of what fills our inboxes, calendars, or closets will never be needed again. It’s noise. It’s yesterday’s energy. It’s the stuff that may have served us once, but doesn’t anymore.

It doesn’t all deserve your attention.

So, as tomorrow’s full moon rises, ask yourself:

What can I release right now—from my time, space, mind, or task list?

Maybe it’s a project that’s been lingering on your list but doesn’t truly matter anymore. Maybe it’s a pile of stuff waiting for you to “deal with it.” Or, maybe it’s the pressure to do holiday cards this year.

Comment below and tell me what you’re going to let go of this week.

You don’t have to do it all. You just have to choose what’s worth carrying forward.

Let this full moon be your reminder to lighten your load…in your inbox, your home, and in your head. Make space for what’s next, and let the rest fall away.
